Reverend Doctor Nicholas Meade was born in Baltimore, MD and is the younger of two sons born to the union of Mr. & Mrs. James Meade, Sr.  He earned his Doctor of Ministry degree at the United Theological Seminary as part of the focus group entitled “Preaching and Leadership.” His doctoral focus was “Emerging Adult Attraction and Retention.” Dr. Meade also earned his Master of Divinity degree from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.  He has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the decorated University of Maryland at College Park where he was a part of the Honors and Gemstone Programs.
 

Dr. Meade is the founder of Nicholas A. Meade Ministries in order to be a blessing to individuals and ministry contexts through preaching, teaching, consulting, and publishing. He is the author of the books Refilling the Church's Fountain of Youth: A Recipe for Emerging Adult Attraction & Retention, Having Faith in the Face of Uncertainty: Reflections on Brenton's Early Arrival ,and I Trusted the Process: Works From My Sojourn Through Seminary. He is also active in serving his community through the church as well as his participation as a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated where he serves his local chapter as Vice Basileus after previously serving in other capacities including Chaplain.

After much prayer, Dr. Meade answered the call to preach and preached his initial sermon in July 2003. He serves as an Assistant to the Pastor and Associate Minister while also previously serving as Youth & Young Adult Ministry Co-leader at the Silas First Baptist Church of Severna Park, MD where Rev. Jesse E. Young is the pastor.

His greatest ministry lies at home as he is happily married to his wife, Tanesha, and they share four children: a son Brenton and daughters Brielle, Braeyen, and Brooklan.
